A 17-year-old has been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of a college student in Birmingham.
Azim Azam, 16, was on his way to his first day at college when he was found collapsed in the street after getting off a bus in Moseley.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Birmingham Youth Court on Thursday.
Azim’s family, from Billesley in Birmingham, said in a statement: “Azim was a lovely young lad who was full of life.
“He was a bubbly character and all family and friends who knew him were aware of his friendly nature. He was looking forward to going to college to embark on a new chapter of his life.”
It is understood Azim was travelling on the Birmingham-bound number two bus when he became involved in a row with a fellow passenger during the morning rush hour.
He was found lying in the street in Hayfield Road and died later in hospital.
