Tonight: Heavy rain in the north-east quarter of
Scotland, falling as snow over mountain-tops. The risk of heavy scattered
showers elsewhere in the UK, mainly in northern and western parts, but with
clear spells expected too. Large parts of the south-east quarter of England
may escape clear and dry. Rather cold and windy.
Tomorrow: Rain in north-east Scotland will ease to leave a day of
sunshine and showers across the UK. The showers will be mostly in western
parts, these then giving way to more persistent rain in the south-west
later. Becoming less windy through the day. Cold in the north.
UK Outlook (Monday and Tuesday): On Monday, overnight rain in the
south-east corner will soon clear to leave a chilly but fine day across
much of the UK with a good deal of sunshine on offer. Just the chance of
the odd shower along North Sea coasts. Late in the day, rain will push into
Northern Ireland. On Tuesday, heavy rain will move eastwards across the UK,
followed by sunny spells and showers. Showers will be heaviest and most
frequent in the north-west. Fairly chilly and breezy again, especially
across the north of the UK.
