A man will appear in court today charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend.
Mother-of-two Linzi Ashton, 25, was discovered with multiple injuries at her home in Winton, Salford, Greater Manchester, on June 29.
Michael Cope, 28, is also accused of separate offences of rape and assault against Miss Ashton.
The barmaid made complaints to Greater Manchester Police in April and May that Cope had raped and beaten her.
Her body was discovered at her home in Westbourne Road.
Cope will appear at Manchester Crown Court via videolink from prison for the plea and case management hearing.
