Scott McGregor has revealed it was “great” to return to his Neighbours role.
The 32-year-old started filming some scenes last week as he reprised his role as policeman Mark Brennan, reported Digital Spy. These will air on the Australian soap in 2014.
“It was a relief to find out that I hadn’t died and made for a great comeback. I really enjoyed seeing the cast and crew again, and it’s great the timing worked so I could return for a bit longer this time,” he said.
Reasons for his return were kept under wraps, although the show’s executive producer Richard Jasek hinted that his re-appearance will involve a twist with ex Kate Ramsay (Ashleigh Brewer).
“Mark Brennan and Kate Ramsay are certainly one of the great love stories to emerge in recent years on Neighbours and while they will reconnect in some form, it is never that predictable,” he teased.
“There will be a twist that no-one will see coming. Somebody’s going to hurt themselves very badly, innocent people will be wrongly accused, and lives will change forever.”
He added: “A lot of people ask me about Mark Brennan. Well, remember when I said we were going into the bush? I’ll just leave it at that.”
Scott, who made his debut on Ramsay Street in August 2010, left in June 2011 so he could pursue modelling jobs in Europe, but returned for a month in May.
His upcoming appearance will be shown on UK screens from March 2014.
