Comic Harry Hill poses in his reindeer slippers and smoking jacket in a spoof “at home” photoshoot for a glossy magazine.
The star is about to be seen making his film debut in The Harry Hill Movie and toasts the film’s success in the image for Hello! magazine.
And in an interview he told how despite his imminent leap into the world of film stardom, he was planning a simple Christmas with family like any other year.
The funnyman, 49, will spend the day at his home in Kent with wife Magda and their three daughters Kitty, 16, Winifred, 15, and nine-year-old Frederica.
“It can all be a bit of a faff, but I’ve got three daughters so they enjoy it,” he said. “We wake up, stockings for the kids and all that – satsuma in the bottom, depending on what Santa decides of course – then my mum or my wife’s mum will turn up.”
He said of Christmas with his daughters: “There’s always something going off but they’re pretty good. We’re more like friends.”
In the film he stars with Julie Walters – playing his nan – as they set off on a madcap road trip with a dying pet hamster called Abu.
Hill praised the performance of his co-star and joked that there was similarity between them.
“I can’t see it, but she reckons there was a family resemblance,” he said. “A nd that wig is the same wig Helen Mirren wore as the Queen. So Nan is what the Queen would look like if she didn’t put her hair in curlers.”
