American Electric Power Co. rose $.48 or 1.0 percent, to $49.80.
Consolidated Edison Inc. Holding Co. rose $.48 or .9 percent, to $53.63.
Dominion Resources Inc. rose $.59 or .8 percent, to $70.95.
Duke Energy Corp. rose $.92 or 1.3 percent, to $70.42.
Exelon rose $.38 or 1.2 percent, to $32.82.
PG&E fell $.18 or .4 percent, to $43.64.
Southern Co. rose $.25 or .6 percent, to $43.40.
