Faeces have been thrown at a Romanian man in a racist attack in East Belfast.
The incident happened as the victim was cycling in Newtownards Road this morning, police said.
A man wearing dark clothing, who was not known to the victim, threw faeces at the cyclist and ran away.
The victim received hospital treatment after the assault and detectives said they are treating it as a hate crime.
