Police have released footage of a female shop worker being attacked during a robbery at a Devon antiques shop.
The man made off with a “considerable” amount of jewellery after lunging at the woman as she opened Banwell Antiques in Honiton at 9am on Saturday.
Officers are urgently trying to trace the man, who grabbed the woman around her neck, dragged her around the shop and tied her hands behind her back.
His haul included diamond pendants, gold rings, bracelets and necklaces.
Detective Inspector Charlie Craig said: “Although we have followed up a number of lines of inquiry, we still do not know who this man is.
“He may not live in Devon and Cornwall so we are urging people to share this footage with friends across the country, using social media, so we can find out who he is.”
The woman was left “very shaken up” by the attack, during which her handbag was taken.
The suspect is described as white, of slim build, unshaven with short dark hair and aged between 30 and 50 years old.
He was wearing a blue coat, blue denim jeans, black trainers and a beige coloured flat cap. He carried a blue rucksack and black holdall.
Anyone with information, or who has been approached and offered jewellery, is asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101.
