'Pot noodle' Flack leads Strictly

Caroline Flack has topped the leaderboard on Strictly Come Dancing after “exploding” on to the dancefloor “like a little pot noodle”.

The presenter and her partner Pasha Kovalev scored 39 out of 40 for their Turkish-inspired Charleston in a global-themed edition of the BBC dance show.

Caroline was awarded much sought-after tens from judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli.

Head judge Len told her it was her best dance yet, while Bruno said he “adored it”, and with a nod to Pasha’s hat which looked like the style worn by late comedian Tommy Cooper, he added: “She sold it … just like that.”

Meanwhile, Craig Revel Horwood, who gave the couple a nine, told Caroline she was “like a little pot noodle darling, exploding out there”.
