No self-respecting couple is complete without having a great “how we met” story.
Thanks to Forever 21’s holiday campaign, everyone’s favorite couple, Nick Young and Iggy Azalea, shared how they made their love connection.
The Los Angeles Lakers guard, known for his somewhat mercurial antics and lethal scoring abilities, revealed in a segment called, “Upwrap Your Game,” that he owes his romantic fortunes to social media’s tried and true virtual wing man, #WomanCrushWednesdays.
“I was watching a video of hers; I think it was ‘Work’,” Young said. “I was like, ‘Oh man, she looks very hot.’ I go to my Twitter, made her my Wednesday crush. She actually bid on it. And then I got to mackin’.”
Aww, ain’t online love grand?
Problem is, the “Fancy” rapper didn’t quite agree with her bae’s version of their origin story.
“I actually didn’t speak to you online,” Iggy said, interrupting for her own testimonial. “You said you had a crush. And we have the same friends who lied to and said he was way cooler and nicer than he actually was—enough for me to want to meet him.”
Without Twitter, Nick Young And Iggy Azalea Might Not Be A Couple
