“It’s clear to see, the boy Jeezy do it for the people,” Jeezy once rapped on “Thug Motivation 101.” This Thanksgiving, the Georgia MC definitely lived up to the line when he held a turkey giveaway in Macon, Georgia.
Jeezy’s Street Dreamz Foundation and Central Georgia PICD-The Promise Center linked up to provide families in need with food to make this Thanksgiving a better one. The Seen It All rapper, who took pictures with fans during the process, also earned a humanitarian award in his hometown for his efforts. The MC passed out over 250 turkeys to families in need.
This is nothing new for Jeezy, who’s been giving away turkeys around this time of year for a long time. In 2010, the MC explained that he feels it’s important to give the turkeys away himself and that he doesn’t do it for the press.
“Without the cameras, I would still be doing this,” he said at the time. “I love my people.”
Other stars were also in a giving spirit this Thanksgiving, including Tyga and Kylie Jenner, who fed the homeless together in Los Angeles on the night prior to Thanksgiving.
